Life is busy for everyone! It’s no exception here at Parents Aware.

That said, we haven’t stopped working on new ideas to help you continue the conversation with children and teens about pornography —including a brand new Parents Aware Podcast!

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have so much on my plate I don’t get to read everything I want. In fact, there’s so much good information online that I often feel overwhelmed by what I can’t get to. This is why I’ve decided to focus on 3 areas at Parents Aware that will help you stay up-to-date on this incredibly important topic!

3 commitments from Parents Aware

  • I will continue to personally curate the content that appears on our Parents Aware facebook page. LIKE and FOLLOW us now if you haven’t done so already!
  • I’ll send blog updates to your inbox. In the New Year I PROMISE to create an email list. Until then follow us on Instagram. (Every time a new post is published you’ll find an Instagram linking to it the Friday after.)

… And FINALLY!!!!

  • Tune in to our ALL NEW PODCAST series (Ok, so there’s only two episodes so far! But with many more to follow!)

The ALL NEW Parents Aware Podcast

I know you’re going to love these podcasts. That’s because these are real conversations I’m having with friends (and my friends are awesome!). You’ll find it’s a relaxed way to talk about this daunting subject.

Plus, you’ll be able to download the content and listen to it when you’re on the go, making dinner, or whatever you need to do that takes away from precious reading time! (My sister is saying …WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG!?!!)

Because we get that EVERY PARENT IS BUSY!!

Sneak peek Parents Aware Podcast

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come. This video podcast is a follow up to my Sugar Strike Post.

When I told my friend Bonnie that I was giving up sugar to help a friend struggling with porn addiction she totally understood where I was coming from. In fact she had done the same thing herself 10 years ago! Listen to her story here:

And we didn’t just talk. She baked me a loaf of Banana Bread too! (Sugar free, of course.)

My hope is that the conversations I have with my friends will give you the courage to have more conversations of your own.

Marilyn Evans lives east of Toronto with her husband and five sons. Concerned with the ease of access to online pornography, she began searching for ways to address this subject with her own children. The lack of support and information available to parents at that time compelled her to begin speaking out publicly on the subject. It's her hope that parentsaware.info will provide families with a resource they can turn to for answers on how to speak openly and honestly with their children. You can follow @parentsaware on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
